1 Corinthians 3:7
βSo then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.β
What does 1 Corinthians 3:7 mean?
Paul is reminding the Corinthians that spiritual growth ultimately doesn't come from any human effort, no matter how hard we work or how gifted we are. A pastor might plant seeds of faith, another might nurture and encourage growth, but God is the one who actually transforms hearts and produces lasting change. This doesn't mean our work doesn't matter, but it puts things in perspective: we're partners with God in something far bigger than ourselves, and the credit for real spiritual fruit belongs to him alone.
