What does 1 Corinthians 16:3 mean?

Paul is wrapping up his letter to the Corinthians by addressing a collection they've been gathering for the struggling church in Jerusalem. Rather than handling this money himself, he's saying he'll let them choose trustworthy people to deliver it, complete with official letters so everyone knows the gift is legitimate and properly accounted for. This shows Paul's wisdom in handling finances with complete transparency, protecting both the givers and the recipients from any shadow of doubt. It's a beautiful picture of how the early church cared for one another across distances, and how important it is to do good works in a way that's above reproach.
