What does 1 Corinthians 15:38 mean?
Paul is writing about resurrection and uses the image of a seed to help us understand something hard to grasp. When you plant a seed, you don't know exactly what will grow from it, yet God causes it to develop into a complete plant with its own distinctive form. In the same way, our current bodies are like seeds, and God has the power to give us resurrected bodies perfectly suited to eternal life, each one uniquely ours. The point is that transformation from death to resurrection isn't impossible or strange to God, it's as natural to him as spring growth, and we can trust him to do it well.
