What does 1 Corinthians 12:21 mean?
Paul is painting a picture of how absurd it would be if different parts of your body started rejecting each other. The eye and hand, the head and feet, all depend on one another to function, even when we don't always notice it. He's using this physical reality to make a point about the church: when some members feel superior to others or decide certain people aren't necessary, it tears the whole community apart and contradicts how God actually designed us to work together. No gift, no role, no person is truly dispensable, even if their contribution seems less visible or glamorous than someone else's.
