What does 1 Corinthians 12:14 mean?
Paul is reminding the church in Corinth that they're not a single person with one role, but a community of many different people with different gifts and abilities. Just as a physical body needs eyes, hands, feet, and other parts working together, the church needs teachers, helpers, leaders, encouragers, and others using their unique strengths. This was a crucial message for a congregation that seemed to be comparing spiritual gifts and making some people feel less valuable than others.
