1 Corinthians 10:13
“No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”
What does 1 Corinthians 10:13 mean?
When you're facing something hard, it's easy to feel completely alone in your struggle. Paul writes this to remind us that whatever temptation or difficulty we're wrestling with, others have faced similar things before. You're not uniquely broken or impossibly weak. The real comfort here is about God's character and care. He won't let you be pushed beyond what you can actually handle, and he always provides a way through. That "way of escape" isn't always about avoiding the hard thing entirely, but rather about finding the strength and path to endure it without being destroyed by it. It might be a supportive friend, a moment of clarity, a change in perspective, or simply the grace to take one more step. This doesn't mean temptation will disappear or that you'll never struggle. It means you're never abandoned in your struggle, and there's always a way forward that you're capable of taking.
