1 Corinthians 1:24
βbut to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.β
What does 1 Corinthians 1:24 mean?
Paul is speaking to people who found Jesus confusing or even offensive, especially those from Greek and Jewish backgrounds with very different expectations of what a savior should look like. He's saying that once you encounter Christ, you discover he actually contains everything you were searching for: genuine power that transforms lives from the inside out, and true wisdom that makes sense of everything. Rather than Christ being a contradiction or disappointment, he becomes the answer to what humans most desperately need, even when that answer looks different than what we imagined.
