What does 1 Chronicles 6:73 mean?

This verse is part of a long list of cities given to the Levites, the priests and temple workers of ancient Israel. Ramoth and Anem were towns in the territory of Issachar where Levites could live and work, along with the surrounding pastureland ("suburbs") needed for their livestock. These practical arrangements matter because the Levites didn't inherit land like other tribes did, yet they needed places to live and resources to survive. This verse reminds us that God provided for those who served in worship and spiritual leadership, distributing them throughout the country so they could teach and guide people everywhere.
