What does 1 Chronicles 15:3 mean?

David called together the leaders and people of Israel because he wanted to move the sacred Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem, where he had built a special place to house it. This was a significant moment, a kind of fresh start after previous attempts to move the Ark had gone badly (you can read about those stumbles in 2 Samuel 6). By gathering "all Israel," David was making this a national, spiritual event rather than a quiet transfer, signaling to everyone that bringing God's presence to the center of the kingdom mattered deeply. He had prepared a tent sanctuary to receive it, showing that this wasn't a hasty or careless decision but something he'd thought through carefully.
