What does 1 Chronicles 15:19 mean?
When King David brought the sacred chest back to Jerusalem, he wanted the moment to be filled with music and celebration. These three men—Heman, Asaph, and Ethan—were master musicians chosen to lead the worship, and they were given brass cymbals so their instruments would ring out clearly over the crowd. The cymbals were meant to be heard, to cut through all the other sounds and draw people's attention upward to God.
