What does 1 Chronicles 14:7 mean?

This brief line records three more sons born to King David while he was living in Jerusalem. The names appear in a genealogical list, and each name carries meaning in Hebrew: Elishama means "God has heard," Beeliada means "the Lord knows," and Eliphelet means "God is deliverance." These weren't random names but expressions of David's faith and what he valued spiritually. Even in this simple genealogy, we see how parents throughout Scripture used naming as a way to point their children and their community toward God's character and faithfulness.
