What does 1 Chronicles 12:7 mean?

This verse is part of a list of warriors who came to support David while he was hiding from King Saul. These men, Joelah and Zebadiah, were skilled fighters from the town of Gedor who recognized David's significance and chose to stand with him during a dangerous, uncertain time. The passage reminds us that even in the midst of a long list of names we might not recognize, real people made real choices to support someone they believed in. Sometimes courage and loyalty show up quietly, in the decisions of ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
