What does 1 Chronicles 10:3 mean?
When Saul found himself surrounded by enemy archers on Mount Gilboa, there was nowhere left to run. The fighting had turned decisively against him, and as arrows closed in, he faced the reality that his life and reign were ending. This moment captures the weight of a man cornered by circumstances he couldn't escape or overcome. Sometimes we can relate to that feeling of being pressed in from all sides, where every direction seems blocked and the pressure keeps mounting. What's worth noticing is that this scene, difficult as it is, represents a turning point in Israel's story. God's kingdom doesn't end with Saul's defeat, even though it feels catastrophic in the moment. Our hardest moments don't have the final word either.
